Can CCp please advise me when a fix will be deployed for those of us who have not been able to login since the patch yesterday and get a "Eve.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close " error, Reinstalled the client and same issue, Submitted a petition and got a reply with instructions asking me to do stuff that I have no idea what they are on about.
Tried repair and still no go, At my wits end now and seriously going to cancel if the patch today does not work today. Stupid thing is I get to the login screen without the patch but when it is applied it dies.

Well CCP can I please have an answer to my petition and an indication when I can get a working version of EVE as I have not been able to login since the patch was deployed yesterday!

Can you be more specific please, are you not able to log in or not able to select a character? What happens, does the client crash or is it stuck somewhere or what happens? Have you got a logserver log? Sorry if you've supplied all this before, but I'm investigating a specific potential issue and am wondering if that's what you're experiencing.
What about I have been unable to login since the patch was deployed do you not understand? EVE.exe has experienced a problem and has to close????????? Please check my petition as I have said it enough. I have just come off the phone to a friend who works for one of the Tech magazines here and he has had a few people complaining and wants me to list all thats happened so far!with my experience of this.

I'm sorry but I am not a GM so I don't have access to petitions. But you've already given me more information than I had before, "EVE.exe has experienced a problem and has to close". Does this happen before you even log in, or are you able to log in and then this happens when you select your character? Also a log file might be very useful in figuring out the cause of the problem you're experiencing.
Ok I have a log now what do I do? And no I cannot even get to the login screen.

Been repeating myself since after downtime yesterday so the answer is yes they do.

Hmmm... it looks like a problem with the graphics card, what type of card do you have? Can you attach a dxdiag as well please.

Aaron West - thanks, we are aware of the PI issue and treating it as high priority.

I see PI is a priority but getting your paying public back online and might get fixed is not? just delete and rename my settings file see if it helps well damn it it doesn't. You just lost me as I will take my money elsewhere, As customer service goes this has been pathetic.
The settings folder is typically (on Vista/Win7) located in c:\users\[yourname]\AppData\Local\CCP\EVE\c_program_files_tranquility The reason I think that might solve your problem is that it will set all graphics settings back to default, there may somehow be something in your settings that is now preventing your client from starting up.
Seeing as I am running XP might be a problem?

Posting incase others have experienced the same type of issue with Eve.exe having a problem.
Running Win XP Changed settings folder to settings1 Changed radeon HD 5450 to antialiasing x2 seems to have worked.
Can now login I have to add that CCP you really need to get with your paying public and provide better customer service as my experience over the past 24 hours has been at the least terrible. I would like a dev to contact me to discuss some type of recompense for the issues encountered and also for finding a fix for this issue for you.

LOL. You got your issue figured out in 24 hours or whatever, not that bad. I know it's frustrating when things don't work but give CCP a break. This is the best MMO that I've experienced and I'm sure CCP is doing what they can to get things figured out.
Anyways, no issues with the patch on my end, not sure I like the new hud and it took me a minute to find the session change timer. I am wondering why missiles have brackets now????
